Cotton Kimono – Versatile elegance and maximum wearing comfort

The special quality of treewool for kimono

Cotton is a particularly valued material for handcrafted kimonos, distinguished by its natural breathability, pleasant texture, and durability. At Design Gianni Sarto, I exclusively select high-quality cotton fabrics that are carefully processed to ensure the highest quality and wearing comfort.

Preparation of cotton fabrics: Washing and ironing

In principle, every cotton fabric is washed before cutting to check color fastness and allow for shrinkage of the material – this is done by me before cutting and not by you, my valued customers. Afterwards, the fabric is hand-ironed to create a perfect foundation for further processing.

When do I wear a cotton kimono?

The cotton kimonos from my collection are versatile: As double-sided wearable kimonos, they offer cozy elegance for home, while the single-sided, lightweight yukata models are ideal for spa, pool, and beach. Each piece is created with masterful precision in my studio in Düsseldorf, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design.

Sustainability and durability as a quality promise

By using sustainable cotton fabrics and careful processing, durable kimonos are created that stylishly emphasize your personality. The combination of comfort, quality, and timeless elegance makes the cotton kimonos from Design Gianni Sarto a special garment for any occasion.

Herzlichen Dank, Gianni Sarto.
